Glad you got that working, but it appears to have no bearing on the

Do you know what wireless card you have? If it's never worked
before(i.e. fresh install), you may need the restricted drivers.  go to
"System > Administration > Hardware Drivers" and see if a restricted
driver for your wireless is there. If it is, click the "Activate" button
for it, and that should do it
