recommendations requested- poweredge 750

Hi all,

picking up a dell poweredge 750 tomorrow (used, basically given away) 4
gigs ram, 2- 80 gig satas, P4. A little old, I know, but wanted to move
an older P2 box running etch, been using as a print/web server, and
another P2 box running freenas to this new server.  will most likely
install hardy. anyone running one of these puppies with ubuntu server?

problem 1, first attempt at doing something like this *ever*, im sure
ill waddle my way through migrating a serendipity weblog and another
site with minimal problems....maybe...

problem 2.  have a few usb drives hooked up to the box running bsd, and
they are all formatted ufs.  what would you recommend I use as a
replacement for freenas?  ive never seen anything similar to freenas
within ubuntu, maybe mediatomb?  will ubuntu read and write to ufs?
have had conflicting googles.....
