It was a reference. "Anything you say will be taken down and may be
used as evidence" is a standard part of the little speech British
policemen must give to suspects at arrest. It's like the "Miranda"
speech that US police must give: "you have the right to remain
silent..." I thought this was fairly well-known from use in movies &
TV.

My point being, any statement that Hyper-V is a cheap way to try Linux
in a VM might end up being found by someone googling for such info.
And Hyper-V is not cheap, because it runs on an expensive OS.
