Ubuntu Jaunty and DVMT

Hello everyone,

Anyone has any idea how does DVMT works with Ubuntu Jaunty ? 
The problem I'm facing is on a Toshiba Satellite L300-1AM notebook that
sadly has no option in BIOS to select any type of minimum/fixed Video
memory to be used. 

And some applications (usually 3D games) crash when initializing 3D
acceleration (i suppose it's that because the notebook crashes so ...
not much data i can fetch). 

Any advice will be good.
