9.04 can't find second hard drive.

motherboard
CPU
graphics card
Hard drive.
powersupply

(can't imagine the powersupply or graphics card could have anything to
do with it)

have considered reconstructing the old system  but that would be a
major PITA.

when only the hard drive is hooked up the computer still can't find
it.  have poked around in BIOS and can't see anywhere that it can find
the hard drive. if BIOS can't find it will never load

Just to clarify - you replaced the motherboard and the hard drive at
the same time?  If so, perhaps you need to poke around in the BIOS
options.  Not sure what you're looking for though.

Might be a huge PITA, but you could go back to the orig MB and if it
boots, copy off your docs to network, USB drive, etc....
