can't access partition

I reinstalled 9.04 and eliminated 8.04.  Looks like 9.04 runs better on this
dell notebook.   Even allows me access a vista machine, which I'd never been
able to do.

I'd come to the conclusion that it's not possible to exchange data between
ubuntu versions.
