froller at metis:~$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1              37G   11G   25G  30% /
[snip - ubuntu tmp mounts etc]
/dev/sdb1             296G   72G  210G  26% /Crypt
/dev/sda4             175G   67G   99G  41% /Isolibrary
/dev/sda3              12G  120K   11G   1% /tmp
/dev/mmcblk0p1        3.7G  2.7G  1.1G  71% /media/NIKON D80

I use 40Gb (sda1) for OS.  Another 12Gb for tmp (sda3), a security step
I had read about. The balance of the drive is all data 296Gb (sda1).
Because I make .iso copies of critical cds and download a number of
distros I found myself using a second drive for an Isolibrary (sdb1).

To ensure files I don't want to disappear - don't, I just link to
folders in Crypt (sda1).

froller at metis:~$ ls -l |grep lrw
lrwxrwxrwx  Documents -> /Crypt/Clients/
lrwxrwxrwx  Isolibrary -> /Isolibrary/
lrwxrwxrwx  Music -> /Crypt/Music/
lrwxrwxrwx  Pictures -> /Crypt/Pictures/
lrwxrwxrwx  Videos -> /Crypt/Videos/

Hope this helps.
