Annoying Compiz setting - can't resize windows

Ubuntu Users,

In order to get certain keyboard shortcuts to work in Photoshop/Wine, I
had to turn off connection between [alt]+button1 and moving the window.

After doing this, I can no longer resize windows. So far as I know, the
ability to resize windows was never attached to the alt button, so I
don't know why the change I made would make any difference.

Anyway, when I click on the edge or corner of the window, the mouse
cursor changes to indicate I can resize the window. But when I click and
drag, there's no response.

I tried setting the [alt]+button1 back, but that hasn't restored the
ability to resize windows. Maybe I accidentally changed some other kind
of setting.

Anyone know what setting might be responsible for this?

Thanks for any advice.
