That was until Sun opened Java for the public. A look with apt-cache
shows that the Sun Java packages are now in multiverse:

apt-cache policy sun-java6-jre
sun-java6-jre:
  Installiert: 6-13-1
  Kandidat: 6-13-1
  Versions-Tabelle:
 *** 6-13-1 0
        500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/multiverse Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

So just make sure you have multiverse enabled in /etc/apt/sources.list,
run "apt-get update" and install the wanted package.
