Sorry it didn't work out for you.  Since you seem to already have the
dual boot set up then do the bulk of your work on the XP side if you
must.  Continue to work on the Ubuntu side and help develop what you are
looking for in the OS.  It is a community effort and everyone has
something to offer.  Waiting for it to happen is how price tags are
added.  Thanks for trying none the less.
