rip dvd to hard drive

DvDisaster downloads.  At first glance or two I can't tell how to copy the
disc to the hard drive.  The documentation seems rather skimpy.  I gather
you create an iso image.  Assuming I can figure out how to do that I don't
know what to do with the image- I want to play the movie or what have you.
