Ask the vendors. Write to Sony, Acer, and Toshiba and see what they say.

If we do not express interest in Linux support from the vendors, how
can we expect them to provide that support? They cannot read our
minds. Let them know that there is a market for Linux support. You may
be happily surprised by their responses.
