dansguardian issues

Hello all,

I have installed dansguardian on to my system, and everytime i start the daemon, it gives me this error:

debian at debian-laptop:/etc/dansguardian$ sudo /etc/init.d/dansguardian start
 * Starting DansGuardian dansguardian                                           
Error connecting to parent proxy                                                                         [fail]

do i need to configure something?
