Either way, leningradskaya.canonical.com shouldn't be an issue - it is a
valid canonical IP (91.189.88.31). As is drescher.canonical.com
(91.189.88.40):
$ host leningradskaya.canonical.com
leningradskaya.canonical.com has address 91.189.88.31
$ host drescher.canonical.com
drescher.canonical.com has address 91.189.88.40
$ whois 91.189.88.31

What seems to be the issue/objection to connecting to those? You do
allow checking for updates when you boot up your machine, correct?
$ host archive.ubuntu.com
archive.ubuntu.com has address 91.189.88.31
archive.ubuntu.com has address 91.189.88.40
archive.ubuntu.com has address 91.189.88.46
archive.ubuntu.com has address 91.189.88.45
archive.ubuntu.com has address 91.189.88.140
If not, then turn off updates:
System|Administration|Software Sources (or
Synaptic...)|Updates|Automatic Updates|Check for updates| - uncheck.
