A quick note that I haven't been using VirtualBox from Synaptic...I go
to the VirtualBox site and they have an updated .deb for Ubuntu that's
been working fine for me.
Last I knew there was a "totally free"-Debian style version from
Synaptic, and a licensed but free-as-in-not-pay-for version that
supports USB (or USB2?) and some other features, then there's a
commercial version. The site has the not-pay-for version. Synaptic as
the slightly more crippled version.
This may have changed but it isn't hard to get it from the site.
