Yes, he knows that and does it, in addition to manually copying /home.
It works but is not an automatic solution and as such causes repeated
work and can be forgotten. Therefore, I was extolling the virtues of
using an automated system (e.g., grsync or sbackup) in the post before I
replied to myself :)
