This is the result of lsusb with the parallel to usb:
wadesmart at wadesmart:~$ lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:c50e Logitech, Inc. MX-1000 Cordless Mouse
Receiver
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 045e:00db Microsoft Corp. Natural Ergonomic
Keyboard 4000 V1.0
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
and with serial to usb:
wadesmart at wadesmart:~$ lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:c50e Logitech, Inc. MX-1000 Cordless Mouse
Receiver
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 103: ID 05ad:0fba Y.C. Cable U.S.A., Inc.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 045e:00db Microsoft Corp. Natural Ergonomic
Keyboard 4000 V1.0
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
It doesnt even show up. I have to assume the cable went bad. It hasnt
been bent or crimped.. its just sat there. But all I have to do is plug
it in and errors start popping up - its not even connected to the printer.
