No, IcedTea is not deprecated.  It's just a naming issue; openjdk in
Intrepid /is/ a build of IcedTea.  See
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/openjdk-6-jre .  Unfortunately, this
convention didn't extend to the plug-in, which is called icedtea6-plugin .
