Nothing's wrong with rsync or unison.  They are not, in themselves, 
reasonable methods of doing backups.  They're essentially ways of creating 
mirrors.  In a backup, I want a way to find specific versions of previous 
files.  You can do that if you write your own rsync scripts - but then you've 
just reinvented the wheel.
