strange highlighting problem

It's not a result of a mis-matched tag somewhere?  Your comment about
it removing all the highlighting sounds like not, but it's worth
checking.  Hard to see mis-matched pairs from that screenshot for
sure.

Sounds like a bug in bluefish - if you save, quit and reopen is it
highlighted again?
