ssh within lan, bidirectional, causes Linksys wireless router to hiccough

I have seen my linksys wireless hub go south when doing long scp's.  It
does not happen very often, but is annoying when it does.  I do not know
the cause, but I suspect there is some bit sequence the hub receives
which causes it to hang.
