Not a chance.  I'm not going to ignore bad advice just because you're

I did /read/ it.  And I knew a GRUB problem was not the only
possibility.  And your instructions were incredibly vague, with
inaccuracies like "windows is always in the first partition of the first
hard drive." (if Windows had to be on the first partition, it would be
impossible to dual-boot two versions of Windows).
