Of course not - I just couldn't figure out why you would combine ssh with 
netcat, instead of just using ssh.  It turns out the page you cited only 
partially loaded on my machine.  As near as I can tell, its example of 
combining nc and ssh is practically identical to scp - which is a lot more 
obvious.  I guess the author's first line, about under-estimating netcat, 
goes for me too :-)
