Dual Boot Segfault SOLVED

The laptop happens to be an HP 6930p and evidently needed the 64-bit
Ubuntu even though Vista Business 32-bit is on the other partition. I
will never understand Microsoft. Then I had to add the "root (hd0,4)"
parameter to menu.1st but ever since things are working great. Thank
you.

My thought was to try installing without the external monitor
connected, first.
