That is what I would do.  I don't know where you live, but here in 
Canada I have used three different banks and all their sites work 
perfectly fine in FF, Konqueror, and even Blazer(Palm browser).  If your 
bank wants you do screw yourself by using IE with something as important 
as banking simply use another bank.  Every other bank will most likely 
be smarter and accept all browsers.
