You can try the "user-agent switcher" add-on for Firefox.  That will
get you past some sites that just crap out with "This browser is not
supported".  Although if they are using some funky 3rd-party media
player (for example) that requires IE, you're pretty much up a creek.
Dual booting or running windoze in a VM are options I guess....
