Waking up the printer makers to the existence of ubuntu and other linux users

Look at HP L7680 All-in-One. Therre is a device manager that configures 
the printers, fax etc., even tells you how much ink in in the 
cartridges. I has a commands to align the print heads, clean the print 
heads, set DPI resolution ...
