Buy printers that natively "speak" postscript or PCL, and you will
have no problems. Avoid anything that says "host based printing" like
the plague... If you find a device that you want but it is not
supported, write the manufacturer and tell them that you will be
buying a different device b/c theirs is not compatible.
As mentioned, HP is a pretty safe bet (and their older Laserjet series
are nearly indestructible ;)
