Probably :-) I've not used it in years & tend to turn it off in bios for
a couple of reasons: 1) the nic uses energy, 2) many years ago I used to
have a Windows machine in the bedroom that would fire up at odd hours of
the night... drove me nuts until I figured out that the WOL was kicking
in for no reason at all (no modem connected etc).

I did spend a little time testing on an intrepid machine & couldn't get
it to work. I'll try a hardy machine tomorrow if I find time.
