bug in startup script of package eclipse

So go to Launchpad, check the bug, and add your comments.  It's been 
outstanding for more than a year, iirc, and nobody seems eager to make it 
work.  otoh, nobody I know who's using eclipse seriously is bothering with 
the Ubuntu package - it's just too far in the past, and installing direct 
from Eclipse is too simple.
