apt-get dist-upgrade errors

Hi chaps,

I'm trying to run an update to our Ubuntu server using "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade". I'm getting the following errors;

Unpacking replacement passwd ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/mysql-server_5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.4_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Is there anyway to find out what the cause of the error is and how to resolve it?
