I think the basic problem is that VLC slows down nothing until you
use it. Same with OO and all the others. They just sit there using zero
CPU time when unused.
As for Windows 7, I hope Micro$oft has a winner. They have produced
real bad software for many years now, since Windows XP. I have Vista and
it is a real bum!
