Hmmmnn.  Well I haven't got the package out of the repo.  I don't
remember where it came from.  It describes itself as:

version 1.0 (20050630)

It probably isn't the fork version that is in the repo.  Mine doesn't
segfault.  Maybe you could google for other versions (i.e. not the
fork).  I'm 64 bit BTW (don't know if that might make a difference).
