Is it the screen saver or does the screen blank? If it blanks at 10
minutes exactly, perhaps it is not the screensaver but power management
turning the screen off?

Check /etc/console-tools/config for BLANK_TIME= ; if it is power
management, it will default to 10 minutes. I have been able to reset it
to 60 and 120 on different machines.

Good luck,
