Please don't do this.  It's a huge waste of resources.  Download one of
the compressed dumps.  For a private user the static HTML
(http://static.wikipedia.org/) is probably easiest (though still a huge
download); it basically gives you HTML files you can browse offline.
Other options, including many third-part solutions, are listed at
