There are packages in the PPA system for both intrepid & hardy
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ubuntu hardy main
As of now, the kde-integration package is broken for Intrepid, but works
OK on the Hardy version. This also has the advantage of using the same
codebase as the 2.4 packages so (e.g.) multimedia integration via
gstreamer works.
