Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm coming from gentoo and are now
trying ubuntu, it's primarly a combined work
station/mythtv-backend/samba-server. I use to export a lot of recorded
mythtv-material to xvid or x264 but the quality is really bad. Even on
gentoo there was a different between ffmpeg and transcode in xvid but
now i can't even use the exported xvid-movies, the quality is to bad.
ffmpeg and x264 was great with gentoo, but not on ubuntu. I can use
transcoide and i do that because the quality is good, but it takes so
much more time. It would be great to export some movies a little faster.
I use the ffmpeg from medibuntu, i tried to compile my own version off
ffmpeg, but that didn't work. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
ubuntu 8.10
Sorry for my bad english
Martin
