Grrr ;) 

Ggoogling for the error message suggest that the issue is probably
unrelated to the earlier installation interruption. Do you happen to
have the  texinfo package installed? It collides with a texinfo version
that is included with dpkg. See:

What is the output of "dpkg -S install-info" on your machine?

If it's not "dpkg: /usr/sbin/install-info" followed by some other stuff,
then this is the culprit. You should remove texinfo if possible. Maybe
you then have to reinstall dpkg. In case you *need* texinfo, see this
