This is a good tutorial on how to do it. My recommendation is, if
you're a n00b or have any data you simply don't want to lose in random
FS bugs, don't move to ext4.
I've not had any trouble myself with ext4, but that doesn't mean you
won't. Two things I should reiterate. One, don't use on a production
system unless you have reliable backups and downtime isn't an issue.
Two, don't upgrade the fs on /boot to ext4. At least not yet.
