Why do people detest top posting so much?

It's simple, Odzangba. Linux distros are so free and do what you want
that the wizards of uptight have nothing better to argue about, at great
length, putting people into a posting style straitjacket.

A key feature of humanity is our ability to adapt. They want to deny
their humanity, I guess.
