Matthew Flaschen, you told me to try downloading the alternate CD text-only version of the Ubuntu live CD.
I tried both the ubuntu-8.10-alternate-amd64.iso.torrent and the ubuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso.torrent, burned them to a disk
and they did not work. Are these the correct torrents or do I have to download ubuntu-8.10-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent or
ubuntu-8.10-desktop-i386.iso.torrent. If I did download the ones you were telling me about, could you either tell me how to run them, or
show me another way to run ubuntu with the requested live cd.
