This post has also been CC'd to linuxhelper, who has included my email address
twice in the main message body of his reply. No disrespect intended to those
that regularly post to the list.

Hi. Linuxhelper, whoever you are.

It would be nice if what you have suggested above would have resolved my
problem, but if you had been reading previous posts about the specific
problem I have with vlc on Intrepid, you would have seen that the problem is
a bit more complex than simply installing vlc, then the dvd would play ok.

Also, and what I'm more annoyed about, is that you have quoted my complete
email address in the main message of your reply, not only once, but twice.
Now everyone on the planet knows where to send spam.

You have also posted the complete output of my output from vlc --verbose 2,
thus wasting bandwidth. You could have snipped all that, as it's on the
previous post from me.

Enough said. I could go on about you replying using the subject line that you
have used, which references the digest you have received, rather than the
actual thread, which should be. See below.

Re: Vlc won't play DVD's on Ubuntu, or Kubuntu Intrepid

Replies to the list, using a subject line which references the digest are
likely to be ignored. Such posts will end up in the archives, and folks
looking to find solutions to problems will likely ignore them, as they are
looking for a thread for a solution for a specific problem, and a subject
line referencing the digest is non specific.

Nigel.
