I reckon that all of the clutter created by this thread has many times
over voided out any simple "me too" posts that one might see on this list.

I welcome _any_ post that is relevant to _this_ ubuntu users list; #
ubuntu-users - Ubuntu user technical support, not for general discussions

Perhaps kubuntu-users is different: kubuntu-users - Kubuntu Help and
User Discussions

So, here's a thought; how about posting stuff like this to the sounders
list, or asking ubuntu-users-owner at lists.ubuntu.com to update the faq,
whatever?
  I can easily count the times that you've posted OT stuff here and had
to be reminded to take it to sounder (I have as well so I'm no just pin
pointing you). Don't those, and these type of posts take up much more
bandwidth than someone that replies to a "technical support" post with
"me too"?
