Dictionnary : always mega slow ?! :-(

You could either
A - find a dictionary server that is closer to you (faster) and add it
via preferences.
B - install a local dictionary server and use it instead. 'apt-cache
search dictd' to look for dictionaries.
I just tried B and did:
sudo aptitude install dict-gcide
Then in the prefs of the dictionary, added another server called
"test" and set the server to localhost. I was then able to search w/o
the net...
