Another reason to prefer a real root over sudo

(sorry for adding to a thread that's gone on too long anyway)
 It's not even that complicated. IIRC, all you have to do is add the
user to the 'admin' group.
I'm pretty sure that there is also a GUI under System > Administration
> Users and Groups
