Another reason to prefer a real root over sudo

I was just adding another 'vote' for moving away from Ubuntu's total
"sudo only" approach. I'm probably fairly happy for the reasons that
Ubuntu makes it the *default* but there are setups and situations
where it isn't the best approach and I think Ubuntu should make it
easier to use a real root account.
If you look back you'll see I raised a problem I had with
services-admin (I think it was) not working at all when there is a
root account. (When you start it it asks for the user's account
password and, since it's not a sudo account, doesn't get the privilege
it needs)
