Wrong, a lot (most) of Canon MF units do not work in ubuntu, fedora,
slackware, or any other nix i was able to test (I have a lot of friends
who buy Canons for some unknown reason, likely due to all the TV spam from
them :) So I often use my laptop to test and "for fun", see what works )
The gutenprint project is the saviour there for many, however you need to
keep it up to date (but it is far from complete with many models still
not working) something that ubuntu (and fedora) do not do.

"What does Windows have that Linux doesn't?" - One hell of a lot of bugs!
