thank you for replying.
i think you should reply at the bottom of the message, as like everybody
and i have replied with the output of lspci at the bottom of a maessage
and probably you missed that.

yes, they checked with their own harddrive and both my cable and their
cable. my router didn't work there. but theirs worked.
but my router worked with my friends machine for both xp and karmic.
