Works for me.
What happens when you run gnome-system-monitor from the terminal?
This is what I get & again, mine is working fine:
$ gnome-system-monitor
** (gnome-system-monitor:8784): WARNING **: SELinux was found but is not
enabled.
So, if you get other than that, you may want to reinstall. Note:
gnome-system-monitor can be a resource hog on it's own...
