System Monitor dead?

Works fine for me in Karmic using kubuntu-desktop and am sure it works 
in ubuntu-desktop but haven't tried in some time cus I'm one of those
who likes kde. You can try reinstalling "gnome-system-monitor". Maybe
purging and installing would be better.
